This popular fall event is a FIRST-TIME CAMPING experience for many international students, so we need experienced campers, climbers, and hikers who can mix their outdoor skills with Gospel conversations around a campfire. Volunteer group leaders may attend the weekend at no cost. Duties include transportation to and from the campsite, campsite setup and strike, firebuilding, open fire cooking, meal prep and clean up, leading hikes, using a map and compass, sharing about local plants and animals…
EQUIPMENT NEEDED! Let us know if you can lend tents, sleeping bags, equipment...
COLLEGE CAMPOUT SCHEDULE
1 pm Leadership team leaves BCM for campsites at Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge (20539 State Hwy 115, Hwy 115 & 49 Junction, Lawton, OK 73505)
3 pm Arrive and setup campsite (tents, equipment, coolers, food…)
6 pm Dinner@Meers Store & Restaurant
9 am Leave BCM for Wichitas
11 am Arrive Wichitas & setup camp
12 pm Bag LUNCH
1 pm Hiking & Rock Climbing
6 pm DINNER over campfire
7 pm Sunset hike to Mt. Scott
8 pm S’mores & spooky stories and Group game for PRIZE!!!
7 am Sunrise hike
8 am BREAKFAST on campfire
9 am Songs & Prayers
10 am Hiking, Rock Climbing, Fishing

4 pm Visitor Center & Park Tour
